Overview

Casting Workbook offers the Agency a robust online software solution at no cost. You can pull up your daily list of breakdowns, check availabilities and special skills of your artists and submit their photos and resumes in an organized package to casting. In addition, your entire roster can be sent to regular clients at your discretion from your eBinder and for sending one or more selected artists from your roster, you can use our built-in ePitch which sends a professional letter with your logo and the artists you select to anyone with an email address. Sides and Scripts are available online and can be forwarded to your Artist's individual Workbooks with audition cover sheets at the click of a button.

Breakdowns

Feature film, television, commercial and print breakdowns are now being posted from over 900 casting director members from Canada, the US and Australia. These breakdowns are posted directly online and are distributed to over 1000 agents in 20 cities via our proprietary web to fax/email distribution. You can also receive breakdown alerts by email, to your cell phone or your PDA the instant that they are posted.

Our new dynamic breakdown allows you to select artists by several criteria including special skills. Once you have selected your artists, you can decide which of their photos to include together with individual notes. Once your submission is sent, a review sheet with your logo is created for your future reference that you can also print and fax.

Your submission list automatically generates a list of artists that you can forward electronic cover sheets, sides and scripts together with their audition times and location.

ePackage - (Patent Pending)

Allowing any Casting Workbook member to courier "same day" packages using their online materials for immediate delivery in key cities, ePackage will revolutionize workflow.

With a few mouse clicks, a client in any city can order local courier delivery, in key cities, of any electronic materials stored on Casting Workbook. This allows, for example, an agent in Toronto to send a clients headshot and resume and DVD copy of their demo reel to a Casting Direct in Los Angeles in less than 3 hours at a rate less than a traditional courier.

Now Appearing - (Patent Pending)

NOW APPEARING is a "TV guide" designed for virtually every type of venue that offers casting professionals a way to promote or track an actor or model’s career. This unique software is tied into Casting Workbook’s breakdown service allowing this guide to display credits and certain show details for viewers.

Agents and Casting pros can now put actors on “watch lists” for instant email and SMS notification whenever they appear in any venue type.

Actors and their agents can now enter stage, theatrical and video releases, magazine covers, showcases, television shows, billboards, personal appearances, etc. Represented talent and their agents can post their appearances and leave tickets at the “willcall booth” for casting and production executives. Agents receive an automatic “roster appearances” list that tells them when and where their actors are appearing. Non represented actors can post appearances and “show off” their talent to prospective agents and casting pros alike.

Scheduling - (Patent Pending)

With the Audition Scheduling agents receive online audition requests from Casting Directors in one convenient location. With a simple click they can forward the audition information – with Sides – on to actors for confirmation. The Scheduling system will keep track of which actors have and haven’t replied, as well as hold notes for specific actor follow-ups. Agents can then quickly reply back to the Casting Director with confirmations or requests for different times.

Artist Workbooks

Each of your actors, models and artists members have access to their own Artist Workbook allowing them to receive audition notices and sides as well as send and receive instant messages from their agents.

ePitch - (Patent Pending)

ePitch is a fast, effective and secure way to move one or more of your artist's electronic portfolios worldwide to anyone on or off the Casting Workbook. You control who is sent and how long they can be viewed. It is so simple, there are no plug-ins or proprietary software required other than a standard web browser. Casting Workbook thumbnail photos of your selected clients are embedded into a letter format, with or without your logo, and are linked to their entire portfolio including resume, photos, audio and video reels where provided. The only requirement is that client portfolios must be active on the Casting Workbook to be included in an ePitch.

First we created eBinder which allows you to forward your complete binder of clients to anyone by giving them a password to log into the site. We understand, however, that many agents did not want to send their entire roster but a selected shortlist of clients. Agents also did not want to have to continually be changing passcodes to control client lists and access. With this in mind, we created ePitch.

It is dynamic, secure and best of all, you can see when and how many times it has been viewed and you can set an expiry date when you create it. Send one or more thumbnails of your clients by simply building an ePitch and entering the email addresses of your intended recipients.

eBinder

Your Ebinder is a passcode protected Corporate website for your agency. The Ebinder contains your complete searchable roster. The information including your roster's photos, resumes, audio and video reels are automatically updated as you update The Casting Workbook. In addition, we have given you the freedom to create a personal splash page and welcome message to describe your agency, showcase your talent or even promote upcoming events. Your splash page can be changed instantly online as often as you like.

You can distribute the Ebinder as you would a regular binder to producers, directors or anyone you would normally send your hardcopy binder. Distribution is simple, you print the one page distribution sheet from the Ebinder section of The Casting Workbook and fax to recipients of your choice. This sheet contains everything required for them to access your Electronic binder from any computer on the Internet including a passcode to access the ebinder.

Messaging

Send personalized messages to other Casting Workbook professionals.

Artists can message their agent, and agents can message casting professionals, their own roster or talent scout members. Messaging is instant and the sender can pull a multiple recipient list to see if they have opened the message. Messaging contact lists are automatically updated as casting professionals are added to the system or whenever they report a move or change.

Sides & Scripts

Sides and Scripts are posted daily as they are provided to the Casting Workbook by casting directors. They can be pulled up in a list and downloaded as PDF files. Sides can be printed and faxed or distributed to your artists using our electronic distribution to their Artist Workbooks.

Talent Scout

Talent Scout was created from a demand by freelance artists to join the Workbook in an effort to find an agent and secure work. Agents can search for new faces and review their online portfolios for potential representation. Actors who find themselves between agents are moved to Talent Scout until the new agency is added.

Permissions

Many of the features of Casting Workbook can be customized at the agency level. Personal preferences include Resume headers, logo, number of days to display breakdowns, type of breakdown submission, cities available to be searched, etc.

In addition, permissions for each or all artists with the agency can be set to allow your artists to view or update agency resumes, photos and portfolio information.
