Breakdowns

Casting Workbook provides a secure and exclusive online and offline service to the casting industry and has many valuable and time saving features for casting directors. Breakdowns can be typed online or offline 24 hours a day and instantly distributed to over 1000 qualified agencies and management companies by your selected region. Agencies must be qualified to join by either being members of recognized organizations or by providing letters of reference from the industry. You can also forward your typed breakdowns for distribution or your scripts for breakdown, approval and distribution.

Agency submissions can be requested by hard copy packages or electronically as required. Electronic submissions arrive and can be quickly sorted by agency, character and by name list or thumbnail photo. Selection shortlists can be saved and forwarded to production or sent to another casting director for collaboration.

NOW APPEARING is a "TV guide" designed for virtually every type of venue that offers casting professionals a way to promote or track an actor or model’s career. This unique software is tied into Casting Workbook’s breakdown service allowing this guide to display credits and certain show details for viewers.

Agents and Casting pros can now put actors on “watch lists” for instant email and SMS notification whenever they appear in any venue type.

Actors and their agents can now enter stage, theatrical and video releases, magazine covers, showcases, television shows, billboards, personal appearances, etc. Represented talent and their agents can post their appearances and leave tickets at the “willcall booth” for casting and production executives. Agents receive an automatic “roster appearances” list that tells them when and where their actors are appearing. Non represented actors can post appearances and “show off” their talent to prospective agents and casting pros alike.

Allowing any Casting Workbook member to courier "same day" packages using their online materials for immediate delivery in key cities, ePackage will revolutionize workflow.

With a few mouse clicks, a client in any city can order local courier delivery, in key cities, of any electronic materials stored on Casting Workbook. This allows, for example, an agent in Toronto to send a clients headshot and resume and DVD copy of their demo reel to a Casting Direct in Los Angeles in less than 3 hours at a rate less than a traditional courier.

Scheduling - (Patent Pending)

The Audition Scheduling will save Casting Directors many hours sorting and organizing dozens or hundreds of actors into Audition Schedules. Casting Directors can make use of agent submissions, and simply select which actors they want to see for audition. With the Scheduling system they can quickly and easily prioritize all or some actors, group actors together and let the Scheduling software automatically assign orderly audition times in whatever time span is chosen. The Scheduling system will send online messages and emails to all agents on the schedule, saving Casting Directors hours on the phone. The Management module in Schedule tracks the Confirmations received from agents. Casting Directors can also re-schedule actors to different times, and build a callback schedule in seconds.

Sides & Scripts

Scripts and sides can be sent once to Casting Workbook for retrieval by member agents and actors without additional cost to them. You are also capable of uploading PDF sides directly from your computer without faxing.

Most importantly, Sides and/or full Scripts can be restricted to select individual agents by the casting director or by Casting Workbook's staff for those sensitive scripts or plots.

Search Engine

Our search engine is a robust tool that provides a quick name search or can be used for detailed agency roster, ethnicity, gender, region, physical characteristics, special skills and union searches. In addition, every word or partial word of the resumes is searchable giving access into historical resume details for past productions, directors, companies, roles, etc.

The software technology and database are secure and password protected. No other person can access your information without your passwords.

Audio & Video

Audio and video demo reels can be viewed instantly online from any high speed service including cable and DSL. Live auditions and demo reels can be shortlisted and forwarded to production for approval.

Industry Messaging

Direct and confidential desktop-to-desktop messaging to Casting Workbook professionals is available with pre-built lists of major industry agency and casting groups. After messages are sent, you can review whether the recipient(s) have received your message.
