Description: Plays the role of the oblivious boyfriend at first, but is sharp, calculating, and knows exactly how to flip a prank on its head. Calm and collected until it’s time to drop the hammer. H/M/W: Neat casual — button-up or henley with jeans/chinos. Clean-shaven or light stubble.
PAIGE
Description: Brooke’s best friend and co-conspirator. Helpful and quick-witted, but with a secret connection to Jason that makes her loyalty questionable. H/M/W: Trendy casual, fashionable but comfortable outfit– skirt and shirt, t-shirt and jeans, mini summer dress. Hair styled, natural makeup.
GARY
Description: Jason and Brooke’s landscaper, pulled into Brooke’s prank under the guise of being “Alejandro.” Oblivious to the deeper drama, plays it cool through the chaos. H/M/W: Outdoor work gear (T-shirt/tank, work pants, boots). Comfortable with physical comedy and light intimacy.
LORI
Description: Jason’s mother. Here for the surprise party reveal, caught awkwardly in the middle of Brooke and Jason’s blow-up. H/M/W: “Party guest” casual — neat, colorful outfit.
RAY
Description: Jason’s father. Mostly reacts to the chaos with understated confusion. H/M/W: Simple casual — polo or button-up with jeans.
ALFIE
Description: A quiet but observant boy with a sharp eye for details adults miss. His bravery emerges when he decides to expose his stepmother’s betrayal, risking her wrath to protect his father. H/M/W: Casual; t-shirt, jeans, running shoes, slightly tousled hair.
BLAIR
Description: Charming and composed on the surface, manipulative and calculating underneath. A master at shifting gears between sweetness and venom to get what she wants. H/M/W: Long hair down and styled; sultry makeup; robe and lingerie for ALL scenes.
GRANT
Description: A devoted father who masks suspicion with calm until the truth is undeniable. His quiet authority becomes a decisive force when protecting his son. H/M/W: Neat haircut, clean-shaven; casual but puttogether wardrobe, i.e. button-down dress shirt - untucked - dark jeans, dress shoes or nice running shoes.
CHAD
Description: Blair’s lover — cocky, impulsive, and quick to intimidation when cornered. H/M/W: Shirtless in bed; jeans over boxers; casual, fitted t-shirt when dressed.
William Kurelek
William Kurelek was introverted, egoless, refined and utterly passionate about his art. He suffered various aspects of mental illness - depression, depersonalization, and anxiety throughout his life. ... A loner, emotionally abused by a dominating and often cruel father, Kurelek was an outsider in every respect.
Dmytro Kurelek
William Kurelek’s father Dmytro was a Ukrainian immigrant. Domineering, stubborn, with a ‘larger than life’ persona, he was a true old-world patriarch.
Mary Kurelek
William Kurelek’s mother Mary was a hard-working Ukrainian immigrant. Uneducated, she usually deferred to her husband. Stoic by nature, Mary was not prone to displays of affection towards her children.
SKYLER
Description: Smart, resourceful, and full of determination. Skyler’s room is a shrine to her two loves of Sports and Space, and when danger appears in the sky, she’s the first to take action. She’s a natural leader among her friends, quick-thinking under pressure, and deeply proud of her city. Personality Traits: Brave, inventive, confident, loyal, a spark of humor under pressure. Special Notes: Comfortable with physical action (running, biking, handling props). Strong facial expressions — we need to feel her determination, excitement, and relief for all scenes without dialogue.
FRIEND #1
Description: The "muscle" of the group — maybe literally strong, maybe just full of energy. Carries heavy gear, pushes the pace, and throws in a bit of comic relief with reactions. Personality Traits: Energetic, enthusiastic, loyal sidekick energy, quick to help. Special Notes: Comfortable carrying light gear/props and reacting physically to the action.
FRIEND #2
Description: The techie/tinkerer of the trio — handles wires, batteries, and cables to bring the SOS device to life. Slightly quirky and inventive, maybe cautious but comes through when it counts. Personality Traits: Focused, a bit of a problem-solver, moments of shyness but determined. Special Notes: Needs to be good with prop handling (connecting wires, “fixing” things), facial reactions to tense moments.
Presenter
All Ethnicities. Calm, intelligent, and trustworthy professional. Note: The presenter will deliver a scripted product presentation in a clear, confident, and engaging tone, calm and professional. ON-CAMERA ROLE. Teleprompter experience is a plus, but not required. Must be fluent in English with a neutral North American accent.
THE MUSICIAN/ FATHER
34-47 years. Worn and emotionally vulnerable after years in the spotlight. The father experiences a moment of personal breakdown that forces him to reevaluate his priorities and reconnect with his teenage daughter. Note: The role requires a strong resemblance to the attached younger actor, though slight aging with makeup is possible to allow some flexibility. See PICTURE REFERENCE:
Louisette
Louisette est la mère de Sylvain et la grand-mère d’Em. Il s’agit d’une femme douce remplie de bonnes intentions, mais également plutôt mère poule, ce qui la rend un peu agaçante aux yeux de son fils. Malgré les 45 ans de Sylvain, elle le traite comme un enfant, ce qui a pour effet de susciter quelques tensions au sein de leur relation.
