Mira
MIRA] Female, to play 7 (can be older to play 7), white, Sophie's precocious daughter who desperately wants a father figure and immediately bonds with Leo, calling him 'daddy" and trying to matchmake him with her mother. Sweet, innocent and outgoing with a natural charm that melts hearts, but also shows vulnerability when bullied about not having a dad. SUPPORTING. Eli
Small, quiet, and often underestimated. A foster kid who starts out humiliated and angry, but gradually transforms into a calm, focused force. Must show emotional range — from rage to restraint — and be physically expressive. Some light physical training/stunt work required. Martial arts experience an asset.
Marcus
A calm, stoic foster parent with a complex past. Exudes quiet strength and wisdom. Becomes a mentor and father figure to Eli, teaching him self-control through martial arts. Actor should convey emotional depth and subtle physical authority. Cool and somewhat sly. Martial arts experience an asset.
Troy
A big, loud, showboating bully. Loves attention and dominance, but hides insecurity beneath the surface. Needs strong presence and comic menace. Must play both mockery and vulnerability when challenged.
Liam
A wiry, nerdy student with heart. Observant, awkward, and quietly brave. Represents the next kid in line for bullying — and maybe the next to be empowered. Light comic timing a plus.
