AURORA
AURORA is a creative and sensitive youth who expresses herself through sketching and a growing love for theatre. It's hard enough being a kid, but growing up in a divorce can make that even harder. Even though she's still adjusting to her parents’ divorce, she’s kind, observant, and has a strong moral compass. Inspired by her Uncle Isaiah’s work on Broadway, she takes on the role as assistant director of the school musical—rediscovering her confidence along the way. OPEN ETHNICITY
JESS
JESS is Isaiah’s grounded and dependable older sister who balances raising her daughter, running an antique shop, and quietly healing from her divorce. She’s practical and quick-witted, often the emotional anchor for those around her. Though hesitant when it comes to new romance, her interactions with her neighbour Hal show a softer, more playful side waiting to be sparked. CAUCASIAN
MIRANDA
MIRANDA is a quiet, thoughtful student with a remarkable singing voice that she keeps hidden due to self-doubt. As the daughter of renowned Broadway producer Cindy Black, she feels pressure to live up to her mother’s legacy but longs to escape her mother's shadow and carve out her own identity. STEPHEN is a tough-edged, rebellious student whose aloof exterior masks a depth of emotion beyond his years. CINDY
CINDY is a sharp, polished Broadway producer who commands a room with quiet authority. As Miranda’s mother, she maintains high personal and performance standards, though her own success sometimes casts a large shadow over her daughter. HAL
HAL is Jess’s cheerful and genuinely kind neighbour, known for his elaborately decorated hot cocoa cart and love of all things Christmas. He’s always ready to lend a hand or brighten someone’s day with a warm drink and some kind words. NOAH
NOAH is Isaiah’s childhood friend and a level-headed scenic designer with a good sense of humour. Although he maintains a steadfast support, he brings a healthy dose of realism to Isaiah’s more grandiose plans. He’s a grounding presence and always willing to lend an ear or a bit of perspective. SANDRA
SANDRA is a school parking monitor with a holiday whistle, a clipboard, and zero tolerance for nonsense. Though a little intense and by-the-book, she has a sharp sense of humour beneath her stern exterior. OPEN ETHNICITY

Emma is stylish, confident, and always ready for the spotlight. As a former child pageant star, she brings showbiz flair and high expectations to everything she does. TRAVIS
TRAVIS is an athletic and good-natured young man with a laid-back energy. He’s enthusiastic about the theatre but sometimes more focused on snacks than blocking the scene. PRINCIPAL OTT
PRINCIPAL OTT is a mostly stern and by-the-book administrator with an unexpected soft spot for musical theatre. Though she’s known for her tough exterior, Isaiah’s Broadway past quickly wins her over. Once she’s convinced, she becomes one of the school musical’s most enthusiastic supporters. OPEN ETHNICITY
GREGORY
GREGORY is boisterous, hungry (often literally), and quick to crack a joke—especially if it’s about food. He brings comic relief to the group and often speaks before thinking, but his heart is in the right place. He’s a lovable goof with a strong sense of loyalty. OPEN ETHNICITY. WILL BE REQUIRED TO SING
BURT
BURT is Isaiah’s gruff former boss at a Christmas carolling company. Though he fires Isaiah for being unreliable, he appreciates his talent and encourages him with some tough but guiding love. OPEN ETHNICITY
MONITOR
This MONITOR is brisk, unfazed, and not here to be charmed. Managing a chaotic audition lobby in holiday earrings and a Christmas sweater, she keeps things running on schedule. OPEN ETHNICITY
ELDERLY MAN
This ELDERLY MAN is a sleepy theatergoer who dozes through Isaiah’s avant-garde performance but wakes with a puzzled craving for “dancin’ reindeer.” OPEN ETHNICITY
