ANNIE
-David’s lover and agent, a cunning and ambitious woman. -Manipulative and deceitful, she works behind the scenes to separate Scarlett from her family. -Appears sweet and caring but is actually selfish and power-hungry. Skilled at pretending to be a victim to gain sympathy.
JESSICA
-Scarlett and David’s daughter -Initially loyal to David and Annie, looking down on Scarlett. -Influenced by materialistic desires and fame. -Eventually shocked to learn her mother’s true identity.
DANIEL
-Scarlett and David’s son -Similar to Jessica, he is swayed by wealth and status. -Disrespects Scarlett and idolizes David and Annie. -Later realizes the truth but struggles with guilt.
KEVIN
-The acting CEO of New Century Entertainment. -Loyal and protective of Scarlett, helping her reclaim her identity. -Intelligent and business-savvy, he orchestrates key events in Scarlett’s favor.
JAMES
-A billionaire and Scarlett’s childhood friend. -Deeply in love with Scarlett, he respects her independence and supports her unconditionally. -Kind-hearted and powerful, he stands by Scarlett in her fight for justice.
MIA
A jealous rival who despises Scarlett. Manipulative and willing to go to extreme lengths to ruin Scarlett’s reputation. Obsessed with James and wants to take Scarlett’s place.

Core Serenader (3 Positions)
The Core Serenader is a dynamic singer/actor/performer working primarily in-person, and occasionally through online platforms. They are an energetic and positive performer that can sing, move, is adept at acting improv, and has an interest in connecting with seniors and those who live in care environments. They preferably can self-accompany on an instrument, though it is not required. Performers who are multilingual are especially encouraged to apply. They are available for performances and engagements 35hrs/week The Core Serenader collaborates with other ensemble members on creating and offering ongoing musical performances to seniors in a variety of contexts, including care homes, hospitals, seniors’ centres, outdoors and online. They are creative, flexible, able to work both collaboratively in group settings, and independently. The Core Serenader is willing and able to take leadership when called upon to do so, and also support and encourage the leadership of others. They are true ensemble members. Most importantly, the Core Serenader is a positive, caring, genuine, creative individual, willing and eager to give time and attention to isolated seniors and people in care settings, and creatively collaborate with fellow artists.
Alternate Serenader (3 Positions)
The Alternate Serenader is a dynamic singer/actor/performer working primarily in-person, and occasionally through online platforms. They are an energetic and positive performer that can sing, move, is adept at acting improv, and has an interest in connecting with seniors and those who live in care environments. They preferably can self-accompany on an instrument, though it is not required. Performers who are multilingual are especially encouraged to apply. They are available for performances and engagements on a part-time, consistent basis weekly, as well as flexible for possible additional engagements. The Alternate Serenader collaborates with other ensemble members on creating and offering ongoing musical performances to seniors in a variety of contexts, including care homes, hospitals, seniors’ centres, outdoors and online. They are creative, flexible, able to work both collaboratively in group settings, and independently. The Alternate Serenader is willing and able to take leadership when called upon to do so, and also support and encourage the leadership of others. They are true ensemble members. Most importantly, the Alternate Serenader is a positive, caring, genuine, creative individual, willing and eager to give time and attention to isolated seniors and people in care settings, and creatively collaborate with fellow artists.
Sophie
Sophie (any ethnicity) is a retail worker and struggling aspiring author with an appreciation for well made lattes. She suffers from writers block after the unexpected passing of her father left her with crippling self doubt and a lack of closure. In the years after his death she came to the realization she was a queer woman, but due to not knowing if her late father would approve she shut herself off from any romantic pursuits.
Arthur
Arthur, Sophie’s dad (any ethnicity) is a compulsive gardener and family man who lives for his wife and daughter. Due to his passing, he only exists in relation to Sophie through her lens and perspective as she looks back on her memories of him. He is fundamentally kind-hearted and always willing to support his family as best he can, however due to the amount of attention he puts into his gardening he can be disconnected from those around him.
Bess
Bess (any ethnicity) is a kind, capable and no-nonsense barista. She is used to her café’s quirky and often emotional clientele, as well as the vague scent of mysticism that surrounds the establishment. Bess is confident in herself and does not need a romantic relationship – but is open to one, should it walk right up to her front door. In her past she has dealt with losing loved ones and has done a lot of self growth since, however the negative feelings from those dark times in her life occasionally bubble up and drag her down.
Ambrose
Ambrose (any ethnicity) is a content but occasionally lonely elder. Their quirks may come across to some as them losing cognitive capacity, but in reality, there’s a twinkling awareness lingering beneath the surface. Ambrose copes with their solitude by regularly visiting their favorite, mystical café to relive treasured memories with their late dog Bailey. They live alone and navigate a fast paced world by partaking in the simple pleasures of life.
ON-SCREEN NARRATOR
White. Highly intelligent and well-educated. Wears a suit or turtleneck. Commanding, atypical, stern yet charismatic. Possesses a hypnotic, deliberate delivery, blending existential dread with dry humour. Accents encouraged. References: Werner Herzog, Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum. Note: Talent with a background in theatre or sketch comedy is a plus.
