But after the sudden loss of his wife, something in him shattered. The grief swallowed him whole, leaving behind a man who could no longer feel or function emotionally. He became a shadow of himself distant, withdrawn, incapable of expressing the love he still carried. Eventually he got dementia and that only deepened that silence, locking him in a fog of forgotten time. until one day when he met his grand daughter for the first time.
