WAYNE
Wayne is a weedy 19 year old - scrawny, with head phones. He lives in Regent Park, has quit high school where he used to play guitar, then moved to DJing at all-ages dance clubs. He lives in a cramped apartment with his single mother who works days, and his younger brother. He makes side money delivering drugs on his bike, for a tough supervising dealer. This day, he delivers drugs to a secret hiding place, ordered by textsides - supposedly from a rich teenager.

Ethan
Ethan is a 24-year-old filmmaker whose career is on the up and up. He is deep in post-production on his latest film, Traintracks, an autobiographical horror movie based on the mysterious disappearance of his friend several years before. Despite maintaining a confident outer composure, Ethan's inner neurosis grows more troublesome by the day. He's not being truthful about what really happened to his friend, and having to relive the experience day after day through making his movie is slowly eating him alive. When he begins to hear a mysterious, all too familiar noise in the film, this is the final tipping point towards a total breakdown. Looking for performers who are able to play complex psychological distress with just a look.
Katie
Katie is the sound mixer on our protagonist Ethan's horror film Traintracks. She is an intelligent, pragmatic person with a passion for her craft who acts as a grounding foil to Ethan's increasing paranoia. However, even she finds herself unnerved by the emotional effect this mysterious sound cue is clearly having on her director.
