Olek
A rugged, imposing figure with a quiet intensity. Olek hides beneath a calm, almost humorous demeanor. His presence is unsettling — the kind of man who could either help you carry groceries, or drag you into the woods without breaking a sweat. He is fiercely loyal to the art of filmmaking and sees himself as Poland’s next auteur director. PLEASE NOTE: Eastern European accent required.
Stanislaw
A dutiful, soft-spoken camera assistant who takes pride in following orders to the letter. Stanislaw is earnest and eager to please, but his obedience often crosses into unsettling submission. He rarely makes eye contact, moving with quiet efficiency, always present but never drawing attention to himself. There’s a sense that he may know more than he lets on, but he would never betray the confidence of his superiors. PLEASE NOTE: Actual role will not involve dialogue, but requires expressive subtlety (body language, stillness, quiet reactions).
Elzbieta
A quiet, meticulous makeup artist whose calm professionalism conceals an unsettling intensity. She exudes restraint, rarely speaking, But her steady gaze and deliberate movements suggest she understands far more about the production than she should. There’s a duality to her presence — she could be a silent ally or a devoted participant in something sinister. PLEASE NOTE: Actual role will not involve dialogue, but requires expressive subtlety (body language, stillness, quiet reactions).
Wojtek
A commanding, pragmatic assistant director who runs the set with clipped authority and unwavering focus. Wojtek thrives on discipline and efficiency, barking orders with military precision. He seems as interested in filmmaking as he does in appeasing the director Olek at all costs. PLEASE NOTE: POLISH SPEAKING REQUIRED

Peter
Thin, any race. Peter is a moody and blunt teenager hardened by life after the shift in the world. Though desensitized by hunger and survival in this world, he is a typical teenager, pushing back against his mother’s strict moral code. His defiance escalates into dangerous choices, revealing both his desperation and his loss of innocence. Please note character will be in scenes with a prop gun. Weapons handler will be on set.
Iris
Thin, any race. Iris is a nurturing yet exhausted mother, struggling to protect her son in a terrifying world. Torn between compassion and survival, she is stern yet deeply empathetic. Her belief in preserving humanity clashes with Peter’s growing pains, placing her in the story’s emotional center. Please note character will be in scenes with a prop gun. Weapons handler will be on set.
Lars
Any race. Lars is an imposing figure who first appears as an antagonistic presence, surrounding characters in danger. However, his true intentions are made clear as well as his former life as a Doctor in the old world which adds to his compassionate and intelligent character. Despite his kind heart, his presence sparks the tension that drives Peter and Iris into crisis. Please note character will be in scenes with a prop gun. Weapons handler will be on set.
Ricky
Ricky is Marta’s husband, a man hardened by labour and frustration, struggling under the weight of grief, responsibility, and unspoken rage. Ricky is often stoic and emotionally unavailable, but beneath his silence lies a storm of guilt and suppressed pain. His descent from control into desperation drives much of the tension in the story.
Marta
Marta is a young woman navigating the grief of a devastating loss while trapped in an isolated home with her husband. Fragile yet determined, she teeters between moments of quiet tenderness and spirals of obsession, as her perception of reality blurs with visions of the supernatural. The role requires vulnerability, emotional depth, and the ability to shift from subtle fragility to moments of unrestrained intensity.
Oscar
Oscar is Ricky’s young co-worker at the worksite. Naive and eager for connection, he brings a youthful energy and contrast to Ricky’s brooding silence.
