Confident, attractive, and physically imposing Role: Heir to the Harrison family / Caroline’s true love and savior Bio: A calm, noble, and principled man who saved Caroline years earlier during a tragic accident. Roman reappears later as a business magnate and becomes Caroline’s protector and eventual husband. His integrity and patience contrast Axel’s impulsiveness. Traits: Loyal, reserved, emotionally intelligent, quietly protective. Arc: The steady presence who brings Caroline peace and stability after years of turmoil.
Natalia Lewis
Seeking a compelling screen presence with strong dramatic instincts. Slim build, classic beauty with expressive eyes Role: Axel’s former flame and business rival Bio: A manipulative, jealous woman whose ambition and envy fuel much of the story’s conflict. She undermines Caroline professionally and personally, helping dismantle Axel’s company and reputation before being killed in a confrontation. Traits: Intelligent but ruthless, narcissistic, driven by resentment toward Caroline.

Role: Retired General / mentor and father figure to Caroline Tall and broad-shouldered. The build of someone who’s spent a lifetime in the military. Occupation: Military leader and advisor, connected to high-level defense research and drone technology. Fit and solid for his age; carries himself with military discipline and composure. Strong jawline, sharp eyes, and a calm, unflinching expression. Salt-and-pepper or silver hair, neatly kept (often buzzed or short at the sides).
Daisy Powell
Polished and elegant in a minimalist way. Prefers tailored suits, pearls, or muted luxury, exudes quiet confidence. Commanding and principled, with emotional depth. Always looks put-together, with a poised posture that reflects power and restraint. Chairwoman of Harmony Group, recognizes Caroline’s worth early on. She serves as a professional mirror and moral compass, contrasting Axel’s arrogance with genuine leadership and respect for competence. Daisy’s faith in Caroline later becomes pivotal to exposing Axel’s corruption and validating Caroline’s true identity.

BLACK NOVA SCOTIAN. Young, bright, highly articulate, but a bit lost until he meets Rocky and Joan, at which point his dual passions ignite: activism and theatre. Deeply supportive and loyal, especially to Joan. Proud of his Blackness. Homosexual, but not in any way conforming to gay stereotypes.
Rocky Jones
BLACK NOVA SCOTIAN. Tall, articulate, charismatic, handsome. Aimless adventure-seeker until he gets put on the spot, and his inner activist comes to life. Transforms into a "Black radical", and the face of a growing liberation movement. Loves and respects his wife, Joan, but has a wandering eye. Fearless in the face of opposition.

Oliver (church minister), Buddy Daye (community organizer), rough-and-tumble club patron, and doo-wop singer (some singing ability would be beneficial).

BLACK MALE. This is one of six multi-character roles, and requires real flexibility in terms of the actor's ability to convincingly perform distinct character voices. Characters include Stokely Carmichael (legendary African-American activist - New York raised but Caribbean-born), Buddy Daye (Halifax community organizer, Black Nova Scotian), student, resident, and conference attendee.
Multi-Character 3
BLACK FEMALE. This is one of six multi-character roles, and requires real flexibility in terms of the actor's ability to convincingly perform distinct character voices. Characters include Miriam Makeba (legendary South African singer and activist), Leontyne Price (legendary Black opera star), Caribbean woman, student, and protester. Singing ability in multiple styles is a real asset.

WHITE MALE: This is one of six multi-character roles, and requires real flexibility in terms of the actor's ability to convincingly perform distinct character voices. Characters include middle school Principal, medical doctor, White ally (activist), School Headmaster, prosecution lawyer.
Multi-Character 5
WHITE MALE: This is one of six multi-character roles, and requires real flexibility in terms of the actor's ability to convincingly perform distinct character voices. Characters include news reporter, Treasury department boss, student, police officer, judge. Most important character for this role is Inspector J. Mudge - an undercover RCMP officer who tracks the Jones' every move. This character must have the stereotypical sound of 1960s-era law enforcement officer.
Multi-Character 6
WHITE FEMALE: This is one of six multi-character roles, and requires real flexibility in terms of the actor's ability to convincingly perform distinct character voices. Characters include Lynn Burrows (White ally/activist), Margie Davis (daughter to Bishop Davis), White Scotian woman in relationship with a Black Nova Scotian man, and Sharon, who will later become Rocky's second wife.
Joan Jones
BLACK FEMALE. Wife to Rocky Jones. Unlike Rocky, Joan eschews the spotlight - but she is undoubtedly the heart and soul of the resistance movement. Oakville-born to a family whose father was a Black railway porter, and insisted that Joan be well-read in Black literature and conversant in the issues of the Black struggle. Joan is fearless, outspoken, occasionally potty-mouthed, and totally committed to fostering positive change for Black Nova Scotians. She is devoted, but contains her frustrations with Rocky's behaviour.
COOKIE
Can play the role of Male. Cookie can charm his way out of a paper bag. If Cookie is in the room, everyone else plays back up. An old fashioned hustler in the vein of Paul Newman in THE STING/THE COLOR OF MONEY. Ryan Oneal in PAPER MOON, and DANNY OCEAN in OCEAN'S ELEVEN (Clooney and Sinatra). Everyone loves him. Women and men. Cookie is the best kind of huckster. He always has a con going but will make you laugh as he empties out your pockets.
DORIS MARTIN
Can play the role of female. A wealthy widow who married young and spent her life raising her now grown (well mannered) children. She recently became engaged to Cookie. There might be red flags on this relationship but honestly this is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to Doris. She might have met him in Florida, but his son is the famous Fred Heckman from Indianapolis so that feels like a good sign. Since the moment she met Cookie, Doris has never had so much fun in her entire life.

Can play the role of male, the SNIPER lays in wait for a moment to take his shot and end the hostage situation.
